Poppy Tierney is a contemporary dancer with a Bachelor of Honors Degree in Dance from Leeds Beckett University. Having experience in different styles of dance including Contemporary, Ballet, Modern, and Tap for over 20 years, she has worked with some of the Uk’s most renowned choreographers including Odette Hughes of the Wayne McGregor Company, Gabi Aggis, and Phoenix Dance Theatre among many others. Her time at university also gave her valuable knowledge and experience in teaching, focusing on contemporary practices.

Having achieved her degree in 2017, she has had the opportunity to perform her own work as part of Lift Off festival in Leeds and has since performed inter-generational pieces and dance with technology performances in Liverpool, England. Her teaching experience offers a wide range of abilities and ages and believes dance is about expression and emotion.
