Arletys Hernandez graduated as a Choir Conductor and Lyrical vocalist. Her career at the Music Conservatory “José María Ochoa¨ in Cuba, gave her extensive teaching and performance experience. As a pianist for the singing department and piano professor she worked with many students of different age groups and levels in music. At a later stage in her career she was part of the choir at the “Rodrigo Prats” in Cuba, a well-known company focusing on musical ensembles and lyrics, where she participated in the opening of the 9th symphony of L. Van Beethoven, along with the country’s main choir. Arletys has a beautiful soprano tone and was the lead singer of the ¨Orfeon Santiago choir¨ which is one of the most important choirs in Cuba. She has also performed at many editions of the Trova Festival Pepe Sanches and many International Festivals. She took part in several national tours with unique experiences, such as performing for the American musical comedy “The Jerry Herman Show”. Arletys has also worked in the studio recording several songs, in specific, she recorded the Sexteto Santiaguero for recording companies such as the EGREM, with renowned pianists and composers such as Jean Michelle Lesdel. She was also a part of the music CD “Vision” by recording company “Amanda”. She has been part of several workshops of outstanding figures of Cuba in the field of singing and choir conduction and bring her experience all the way to Oman.
